Technical Architect

Shurdington, Cheltenham

The Company

It’s an exciting time here at Endsleigh! We’re currently going through a significant growth period that reflects our ongoing success. In addition, we’ve recently been chosen to provide a range of key products in partnership with Zurich. In response, we are increasing our capability to develop and improve our bespoke systems which drive our competitive edge in the ecommerce environment in which we operate. We know that by developing an IT centre of excellence we can provide the service and solutions needed to enable us to be a leader in the provision of insurance products in our chosen markets.

The Role

You will be defining the technical strategy, overall standards and best practice for IT development. Translating highly technical details into concepts and language that colleagues across business can understand. Designing and specifying solutions which meet our business objectives, you will be focussed on a mixed portfolio of work with short turn-around times. As the Technical Architect on projects you will be overseeing the quality of delivery, consulting with the business and mentoring your colleagues. You will be utilising these core competencies:

-Expert in OOP

-Expert in .NET framework and ASP.NET

-Development within an Object Orientated environment

-N-tier distributed solutions

-Source code control systems

 

The Person

Naturally you will have the technical skills to achieve excellence within this role with qualifications to match. Equally, you will share our values and have the communication skills to work in partnership with the business to understand their needs. Bringing innovation to this expanding team you will also have an appetite for knowledge and push yourself to drive forward the continuous change that we are seeking across the department.

You will have experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues within a mixed skill set team. As well as being someone who enjoys investigating and solving problems to find the right approach to the right project.

Salary: Up to £45,000
