The Gloucestershire Mental Health Intermediate Care Service is a busy and expanding Service that provides treatment to patients experiencing mild to moderate depression and anxiety. The NHS Talking Therapies team includes Psychological Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners who provide evidenced based psychological interventions using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other NHS Talking Therapies approved therapies. We deliver treatment over the telephone, in groups, face to face and using digital therapy options.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified and experienced CBT Therapist to take a Clinical Lead role in one of our four teams. The candidate need to be BABCP accredited and have extensive experience of delivering CBT based interventions. We are particularly interested in applicants who have had previous leadership roles.
You will join a dynamic and innovative service, and will be part of supportive senior leadership team.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Lead provides the day to day clinical oversight of the NHS Talking Therapies arm of the team and the supervision of the psychological workforce. They will also take the role of an expert CBT Practitioner / Supervisor and carry a small caseload. They will work with the Operational Manager of the team to monitor team performance against KPI targets at the individual clinical level. The Clinical Lead will also join the wider MHICT senior leadership team, which includes three other Clinical Leads, Operational Managers, and an overall programme Clinical Lead and Deputy Service Director.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing staff, including working against targets, as well a detailed working knowledge of NHS Talking Therapies Key Performance Indicators. They will be in a position to offer expert clinical advice and supervision of NHS Talking Therapies Interventions and provide leadership to the wider service in service developments.
You will be expected to be able to travel and work across the county and work outside of 9-5 hours in line with service opening hours.
