Located just outside Winchcombe, Gretton Primary is a small, happy Academy school and we are proud of the broad nature of our curriculum and the emphasis we place on providing exciting opportunities outside of the classroom; for example, in sport, The Arts and Forest Schools. We have a strong reputation in the local area and relationships with families are extremely positive, as parents and carers readily support the school and their children’s learning.

We are keen to appoint a highly effective, part-time teacher, teaching 3 days a week, with experience of teaching in KS1, to join our excellent team in our Y1/2 class. The successful candidate will be given a fixed term contract for one academic year until 31.08.25. You will need to be caring, enthusiastic and flexible in your approach with strong classroom management skills – a good team player but with the ability to use your initiative and be self-motivated. We are very flexible regarding curriculum strengths but please state in your application, which subjects you would be happy to lead.

Please complete a standard application form, which you will find on the school website via the “About Us – Vacancies” tabs and e-mail to: admin@gretton.gloucs.sch.uk by 3pm on the closing date. The job description and person specification are also available on the website.

We take up references prior to interview and all appointments are subject to a police check in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 which requires the disclosure of criminal background of those with access to children. To comply with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996 we request candidates to bring with them to interview evidence of their right to employment in the United Kingdom. Please see our website for our Policy Statement on the Recruitment of Ex-Offenders. The School will also carry out online searches for short listed candidates of publicly available information, including social media, prior to interview.
