About the Role:
- To provide an efficient and effective level of support to the Property Team, to ensure that all Campus buildings are safe and all services and facilities are compliant and in line with current legislation.
- To undertake routine inspections, monitoring and testing of ‘specialist’ building services to assist in ensuring that we maintain a high level of Compliance. This would typically include – Fire alarm systems and equipment; Emergency lighting; Water supply and drainage systems; Building fabric and fire doors; Equipment used for Safe Working Systems; Security systems.
- To comply with the highest levels of professional standards and promote a positive health and safety culture in line with the existing H&S Infrastructure.
- Ensuring that all buildings and services are in good working order and comply with statutory regulations and the Health and Safety at Work Act and provide the relevant information for repairs directly to the Facilities Administration Team to ensure the buildings and services meet compliance.
- A full driving licence is essential for this role.
About You:
- You will be a tradesperson or a technical individual, ideally with a Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering background, with a sound knowledge of building compliance.
- Be a great communicator and able to successfully liaise with other members in your team, to deliver a great maintenance service to enhance the customer experience. A true team player, together with a professional ‘can do’ approach to your work.
- You will be able to work autonomously or in a small team to contribute effectively to the teamwork of the Property Division.
- Effectively plan the days duties and tasks allocated to you to ensure efficiency, effectiveness and punctuality.
- Have a good level of accuracy in completing task details, creating and maintaining records identifying materials which require ordering and work completed on your PDA.
