Employer Engagement Officer


Prospect Training Services (PTS) is one of the region’s leading providers who support young people and adults who are looking to either re-join or engage with the employment market for the first time.

This role will form part of the RESTART Programme which will provide intensive and tailored support to over 1 million unemployed people in England and Wales and help them find work.

We are currently seeking committed and motivated Employer Engagement Officers to join our team. You will be responsible for generating job vacancies that translate into long term sustainable employment opportunities and developing key account relationships and bespoke Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) that will lead to repeat business.

Our ideal candidate must have experience in engagement, account management.  You must also be able to identify new and existing opportunities, take responsibility for generating business leads with potential employers through a range of approaches including telephone contact, face to face meetings and delivering presentations and set up online campaigns working with the group’s marketing and communications team using multiple channels including social media.

The four-year RESTART scheme will be open to people who have been out of work for more than 12 months, and will provide them with regular intensive support in finding work. It will be aimed at older workers in particular.

Key Responsibilities


• Set up online campaigns working with the group’s marketing and communications team using multiple channels including social media.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to ensure that business outcomes are maximised through access to wider employment networks.

Account Management

• Increase the number of employees who choose to work with PTS to recruit their workforce by building positive relationships underpinned by a high-quality responsive service which exceeds expectations.
• Look to establish SLA’s to manage key employer relationships.

Opportunity Generation

• Implement processes and undertake events, such as pre-selection screening, shortlisting and job fairs to ensure the quality of candidates meets employers’ expectations.
• Ensure information on vacancies is communicated promptly to PTS’ operational teams.


• Maintain an employer contract database and keep accurate employer records.
• Ensure all recruitment services are delivered to agreed Key Performance Indicators and Targets.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to build professional relationships effectively.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Full driving licence to enable deployment across a specified geographical area (region), when required


• Business to business sales, marketing, networking.
• Knowledge of employment legislation governing recruitment practices.
• Working in recruitment, publicly funded services or other similar sectors

Additional Information

• Contract – Fixed term contract (4 years). Offers of employment subject to funding being secured for this contract which is anticipated to commence from June 2021, pending successful contract award.
• Location: Gloucestershire.This role will serve the community across the wider Gloucestershire area so a good geographical understanding is required.
• We anticipate that this role will be delivered digitally so we anticipate the successful candidates will be based from home as well as within our Gloucester based centres (minimum of 20% of your working time) to meet and work with customers.

• Hours: 37.5 hrs per week –8:45am-16:45pm Monday-Friday (full time)

• Interviews: Interviews will be undertaken in week commencing 5th, 12th& 19thApril 2021 so please ensure availability. In light of Covid-19 Interviews will be undertaken via MS Teams where possible.

• Due to the expected volume of applications, we will only be able to make contact with shortlisted candidates on this occasion.
