Cheltenham based (with occasional homeworking)

Cheltenham Festivals is a charity creating experiences which bring joy, spark curiosity, connect communities and inspire change. Our year-round education, community and talent development programmes culminate at the town’s internationally acclaimed Jazz, Science, Music and Literature Festivals.

Due to the retirement later this year of our current Director of Finance, we are looking for a qualified accountant who has operated at Board level or equivalent to join three existing Directors on our Senior Management Board.

The role has accountability for the finance, IT, premises, compliance and regulatory functions. There is flexibility for the role to be part-time averaging 4 days a week, including occasional homeworking. Previous experience at senior management in a charity would be beneficial but is not essential.

We have been successful in navigating the challenges COVID presented our sector. You will find us in a strong financial position with a dynamic, stable team of 40-50 who share a passion and vision for a world in which everyone can explore culture.

You will be joining Cheltenham Festivals at an exciting time as we are due to move into our new home at the Minster Exchange, Cheltenham next year.
