Finance Assistant - Part Time

Cheltenham

Grade/Salary:  Grade D (pts 11-17) £17,007 - £18,672 pa

Pro rata  hours:   £7,323

Required Attendance:   All Year Round

Start Date:   ASAP

Full/Part time Part Time – 15 hours per week

Contract:  Permanent

Gardners Lane and Oakwood Federation are looking for a part time Finance Assistant (D Grade) to join our Business team at Gardners Lane Children and Family Centre. 

We are looking to appoint a person who works well under pressure and willing to go the extra mile.   The post requires excellent administration skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and excellent communication skills with a calm and friendly approach.  The candidate may be required to work across the Cheltenham and Tewkesbury locality and must have experience of administration and customer service.

This is a permanent position working 15 hours over two days per week, 8:30am – 4:30pm either Monday, Tuesday or Friday.   Salary Grade D (pt3) £7,323 per annum.

The post holder may be required to work at any of the Children and Family Centres operated by the Federation across the Cheltenham and Tewksbury area.

As a member of the Federation Team we will offer you;

• Support – through six weekly supervisions and an Annual Performance Review.
• Training – on-going continued professional development which could include on the job training, work shadowing, courses and qualifications – all depending on what you need as a person and what the organisation needs now and in the future.

We will require two written references for all shortlisted candidates.

In accordance with our data retention policy we will keep all paperwork related to the recruitment of this post for 6 months after which it will be destroyed.

The applicant will be asked to attend an interview and complete a short task related to the post of Finance Assistant. Appointment will be made subject to references (which will be sought prior to interview) and a clear disclosure record from the DBS.
