Full time Programmes Tutor – Construction/Multi Skills


A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated, empathetic and self-motivated person to join our Youth Contracts team in Gloucester as a Programmes Tutor at Prospect Training Services.

You will be delivering a L1 Diploma in preparation for employment in the Construction Industries to our learners aged 16-19 years and supporting them in entering the world of construction. In line with this vocational Study Programme, you will demonstrate empathy with young people to support their group and individual needs and deliver inspiring and innovative sessions to fully engage the young people. You will provide tasters in various aspects of building which may include pre 16s and you will also possess an Assessor qualification to mark and assess your students’ work.

Knowledge of the local construction labour market would be a distinct advantage.

You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work on your own initiative to deliver your curriculum and organise your contract administration and assessment of student work.

The successful candidate will possess a minimum Level 2 English and Maths and a demonstrable track record of teaching achievement with a teaching qualification of at least PTLLS. Duties will also include developing work placement and job opportunities supporting the employment liaison team by building effective employer partnerships in the sector for your students. Full driving licence and own car would be desirable.

• Excellent delivery and communication skills
• Good organisational skills
• Innovative, engaging and versatile
• Possess an Assessor qualification
• Self-motivated, able to work to performance targets and KPIs
• Demonstrable track record of student achievement
• Good general level of ICT skills including Microsoft Office
• Full, clean driving Licence and own car would be desirable
