Part Time Reception and Office Administrator

Cheltenham

Hours – Tuesday 12-5.30pm, Wednesday & Thursday 8am – 5.30pm plus holiday cover

We are looking for an experienced administrator to join our small office team.

Duties to include, but not restricted to:

  • Answering the telephone
  • Booking appointments
  • Taking, and recording client payments
  • Responding to general client queries via telephone and email
  • Ordering drugs and medical supplies
  • Completing tasks as required by vets
  • Packaging up blood and other medical samples
  • Cleaning and maintenance if veterinary equipment

The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft office, and be quick to learn new software applications. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to problem solve and stay calm in an emergency.

No previous veterinary experience is necessary, but previous diary management skills would be advantageous.

We are looking for someone who is a team player and can take initiative in supporting others, but is confident while working independently.

No two days will ever be the same in this role, so flexibility and being able to take things as they come are important assets, as is a good sense of humour.
