About the opportunity
The Longfield shop is looking for volunteers to help by greeting customers, behind the scenes steaming clothes and serving customers with their donations and purchases and using the till. Other activities may include displaying goods for sale, rotating stock, and cleaning.
About Longfield (Hospice)
Longfield is a local charity which provides specialist services, 365 days a year, for adults in Gloucestershire affected by life limiting illness. Longfield supports adults from diagnosis onwards, helping them to understand their illness, to cope better with its impact on their lives, and to live well. We support their family and carers too and provide a Hospice at Home service, enabling people in the last three months of life to stay at home, if that is their choice.
What are we looking for?
Volunteers who have an interest in shop work, with a friendly personality and confidence in dealing with members of the public in a busy retail environment. Training will be provided.
Working hours are flexible depending on shop requirements: we suggest a minimum of three hours a session
