Apprentice Carpet Fitter

Would be working alongside an experienced fitter
Carpet fitting and floor laying can be physically demanding as heavy lifting is involved
Polite and pleasant manner for dealing with customers and general public
No set qualification but employer will expect good practical skills and to be good with numbers
Preparation work is involved i.e. levelling of floors for carpet to be fitted
Uplift of old flooring
Installation of underlays
Installation of carpets by stretching or bonding to prepared surface
Have an eye for detail
Clearing of furniture and taking off doors
