First Year Learner Coordinator

Gloucester

Reporting to: Learner Services Team Leader

Main Aim:

Monitor the attendance and performance of First Year learners and be responsible for the progress of
their development by planning, preparing, and conducting reviews. Ensuring clear communication
across all teams to identify learner progress and supporting the learner services team in all aspects of
the learner journey.

Duties Include:

• Be responsible for collating and reporting the absence management data to employers on a regular
basis
• Liaise with delivery and review staff to identify the learner’s performance and progress
• Coordinate and carry out learner progress reviews for all year one learners at least every 6-8 weeks in line with company policy
• Identify, record and communicate any issues relating to the health, safety and welfare of the learner;
promoting and supporting the GET safeguarding policy
• Keep employers updated on performance and any other issues regarding the learner
• Support the Learner Services team with maintaining learner information, as required

Standard Responsibilities:

• Promote GET and its business in a positive manner at all times
• Promote the equality, diversity and safeguarding of learners, staff and visitors at all times
• Contribute to the implementation of the company business plan, self-assessment report and quality
improvement plan and processes
• Always maintain discipline and cleanliness at all times within the centre
• Ensure a high standard of health, safety and welfare to learners, staff and visitors at all times
• Ensure own training and development is up to date and relevant to GET requirements
• We reserve the right to request employees to assist with reasonable additional duties as and when
required; including attendance at careers fairs and similar business related events

Skills and / or Qualifications:

Ideal:

• An understanding of apprenticeship programmes and funding

Essential:

• GCSE grade A-C (9-4) Maths and English or equivalent
• Experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Salary: £20,000 to £22,000

Hours Per Week: Full time – Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:15pm and Friday 8:00am to 1:15pm
