Joiner / Frame Maker

The Cotswold Bed Company is one of the UK’s fastest growing Bed and Home Furnishing companies. With our own large manufacturing unit based in Cheltenham, we sell to both trade and retail consumers both here in the UK and throughout the rest of the world.

With our own Showroom and Offices based within the Cheltenham factory on the Kingsditch Trading Estate, we have a very busy Sales, Design and Development Team supported by a fully skilled team of creators.

We currently have a vacancy for a joiner / frame maker to add to our existing carpentry team, making the frames for our bespoke beds and sofas.

We work in an environment which is fast paced and demanding where not every day will be the same. You will need to be committed and willing to learn and we will provide all the training you will require to be a success.

Eligible candidates will require:

- Worked within a joinery furniture workshop for a minimum of 1 year.
- Experience in bespoke joinery manufacturing & assembly.
- Proven ability to work with tools and machinery safely & with precision.
- Ability to plan processes of manufacture.
- Excellent communication, organisational skills and team work.
- Ability to scenario, plan, track hours and processes throughout the job.
- Ensure best practice and highest quality of finished product.
- Ability to work in a high pressure and high volume environment to tight deadlines.
- Understand the necessary Health & Safety requirements and adhere to them.
- Able to show own initiative with ambition and a desire to succeed.
- Keen and willing to learn 

The position will be offered with a rate of pay dependent on skill and experience levels, together with the option to join the pension scheme and our Employee Support Programme.

Factory schedule:

Monday to Thursday - 8.5 hour shift (including 30 minute break)
Friday - 5.5 hour shift

Language:

English (preferred)
