Job Description –Business Development Manager

Overall Purpose:

To drive the growth of Tiger Systems through introducing our products, services and capabilities to new clients. Helping them to understand the benefits of services that connect their website and marketing to their sales and customer services combining Tiger and the right solution to fuel their growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Research for prospects based upon clearly identified criteria.
2. Qualify prospects based upon their needs, marketing approach, their size, budget and market segment.
3. Engage prospects using an agreed business development process.
4. Present technical solutions comfortably and confidently at the proposal stage of the process.
5. Support the needs of clients/potential clients through to agreement at the proposal stage.
6. Developing the value of the existing client base through a continuous search for opportunities to innovate and regular timely customer contact to increase average customer tenure.
7. Developing and managinga personal pipeline using the company's CRM system, be they self-generated leads or as a result of company marketing initiatives.
8. Contributing to product and service development though representation of the voice of the customer in internal meetings.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Delivery of agreed quarterly and annual targets in line with the Tiger Systems business development strategy.
2. Growth of revenues against agreed targets and in line with individual client development plans.
3. Delivery of activity based KPI's including outbound contacts, calls booked and resultant conversion ratios.

Additional Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

1. Weekly, monthly and quarterly internal reporting and team meetings as required.
2. Management of relevant client needs and ongoing support though to proposal agreement.
3. Increasing customer tenure (renewal) and growing customer revenues beyond the initial sale.
4. Personal development & training in line with company programs, standards and protocols.
5. Such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably request.

Person Specification – Business Development Manager

Background of Role:

This is a key role within a rapidly growing business delivering clients growth through sales and marketing performance improvement. The role will suit an ambitious, tech-savvy, high energy candidate with an established business development career to date and a clear track record of service sales performance. They must still be eager to learn and hone their business development skills in the specifics of Tiger Systems solutions and capabilities.  A resilient, tenacious self-starter who can work on their own initiative, be driven, quick to pick things up, methodical yet flexible, very focused, passionate and have a great sense of fun.

Remuneration Expectations:

The basic salary will be £20k-£25k depending on experience plus a sales related uncapped bonus scheme. A company laptop, funded mobile phone and private medical insurance, including dental and optical and company pension scheme will also be offered. Expenses including travel costs will be reimbursed through an expenses approval system.

Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent educated, ideally 2:1 or above.

Experience:

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate:

1. A track record of delivering new business and maintaining a pipeline of new and existing prospects including experience in using CRM packages.
2. The ability to forecast sales performance in a reliable and consistently accurate manner.
3. A determined approach to business development. The focus to deliver agreed activity levels.
4. Ability to follow a well-structured sales process and communicate confidently face to face,by video conference, telephone and email.
5. Ability to be articulate, literate, numerate, grammatically accurate and present well.
6. Excellent computer skills and ability to work comfortably with software platforms.
7. Independent working as well as in conjunction with senior staff
8. Comfort independently researching using clear prospect criteria
9. Likeability, with demonstrable relationship development capability and the ability to converse with a diverse cross-section of customers particularly at senior levels in client organisations
10. The skills to be quick-thinking, creative, flexible and adaptable
11. A strong customer orientation; you enjoy it when your customer succeeds.
12. A proactive self-starter approach and a clear cultural and personality fit with Tiger.

Highly desirable is:

1. Previous experience of technical service sales.
2. Experience of Digital Marketing platforms and services particularly email marketing.
3. Understanding of best practice CRM principles, ideally experience with HubSpot.

Salary: basic salary will be £20k-£25k depending on experience plus a sales related uncapped bonus scheme.
