  • Opportunity for additional hours to cover lettings (claim basis)  Governors of this forward-looking school, which places students at the heart of its business, are seeking to appoint and motivated and dedicated Senior Caretaker to support the school within all areas of maintenance, cleanliness, health and safety and security.

You will lead on the daily maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and high quality environment for the school staff, students and our letting customers, contributing to preventative and reactive maintenance activities, and ensuring best value for the Academy.

You will enjoy working in a committed and supportive team and have a flexible and positive outlook, an ability to work from your own initiative for effective day to day management of the site and to also work closely with the Facilities Administrator, Business Manager and Assistant Caretakers.

Qualifications and previous experience are desirable, but full training and support will be given to the right candidate.

Candidates should enjoy working in the context of a busy team environment, and have:

  • A good understanding of general maintenance and the skills required to undertake a variety of tasks
  • A good understanding of H&S laws, guidance and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A friendly approach and calm manner
  • The interest and enthusiasm to play an active part in school life
