GL11 Community Hub is seeking a Volunteer Co-ordinator

GL11 is a thriving Community Hub based in Cam, Gloucestershire, providing a wide range of learning, volunteering, and wellbeing activities to support a thriving local community. During the pandemic we have repurposed for Covid community response and are now gradually reopening activities.

We are seeking a well-organised team player with experienced in setting up successful community volunteer programmes, to plan and coordinate our new Community Buddies program as well as manage our existing range of volunteering projects and activities.

You will be inspiring and motivating all volunteers to achieve a kind, people-centred ethos, embedding a warm and welcoming volunteering culture at the hub.

Job Description

REPORTS TO  Wellbeing Manager
HOURS  35 hours pw for 50 weeks pa
CONTRACT 1 year contract initially, subject to funding
SALARY   £24,251 – £25,727 pro rata 

JOB PURPOSE:    

During the pandemic, GL11 has relied on hundreds of volunteers to provide Covid response, foodbank deliveries, digital support, vaccination centre support and much more. As the pandemic unfolds, further volunteer projects are needed including community buddies and employment mentors, which this role will be responsible for planning, recruiting, training, supporting and supervising.
You will be inspiring and motivating all volunteers to achieve a kind, people-centred ethos, embedding a warm and welcoming volunteering culture at the hub.
