Chef de Partie  required for Cotswolds country pub The Mount Inn Stanton, Nr. Broadway Worcestershire

A busy country pub is looking for a Chef de Partie (for IMMEDIATE START) to work with only fresh seasonal produce where most of the food is made here on the premises. We are looking for passionate chefs with a strong work ethic to be a part of a great working team. Although we are extremely busy in the summer season, I am looking to increase our food trade in the winter months expanding on our offer of well presented freshly cooked food. This is a full time position & an opportunity to make a difference.

A Chef de Partie with good all round experience in all aspects of the kitchen you will work alongside the Head Chef/Proprietor and Senior CDP to ensure the smooth running of this fresh food kitchen, this includes cleaning of the kitchen. 

You will run your section to a high standard and offering flexibility by being capable of working on all sections.  The ideal Chef de Partie will have longevity in previous positions and have a clear passion for the industry.

Works alongside the chefs to manage daily kitchen activities, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.

  • Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Oversees and organises kitchen stock and ingredients
  • Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
  • Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
  • Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
  • Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards.
  • Involvement in menu planning and creation of dishes.

Required experience:

  • Previous Chef de Partie
  • Ability to cook to volume with fresh seasonal ingredients
  • Strong team player

Please note there is no live-in accommodation.

Due to location own transport essential.

Salary: £22,800 or £11 per hour

Hours Per Week: Working a minimum of 40 hours per week on a 5 day working week
