Into Play has been established for 30 years and enjoys an outstanding reputation. We are looking for a confident, passionate, qualified individual to join our busy team at our Longlevens nursery situated on Paygrove Lane, in Longlevens, Gloucester.

Applicants will require a minimum Level 3 qualification, previous experience within the role and have good communication and organisational skills. We hope to be able to offer a handover period working with the current Manager who is leaving to have a baby. This is a full-time, permanent role, and consists of 41 ¼ hours per week on a Rota basis for 52 weeks of the year (nursery closes for 1 week at Christmas & all bank holidays).

Role Purpose/ Key Objectives

• To lead, support and inspire a team in a child-centered environment which is FUN.
• Ensure the children are cared for in a safe, educationally stimulating way helping them reach their full potential.                                                     
• To build excellent relationships with parents/carers and be able to record progress and feedback regularly.
• Be responsible for and oversee the implementation of Intoplay’s policies and procedures with an emphasis on safeguarding as set down by the local Safeguarding Board.
• Deliver and uphold Into Play’s Vision & Core Values on an ongoing basis.
• Provide support to the Senior Management Teamand other Managers.
• Work towards acquiring outstanding at our next inspection.
• To develop links with other childcare settings and especially our other sites.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications

• Minimum of Level 3 Childcare Qualification (or other equivalent appropriate qualification), with at least two years post qualification experience.
• An extensive knowledge of the EYFS and how to plan and deliver this in a creative, fun and effective way.
• A goodknowledgeof Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Role model to staff and children
• Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities Experience/Knowledge of OFSTED inspections.

Salary: Salary negotiable depending on qualifications and experience

Hours Per Week: Permanent, Full-time 41.25 hour per week
