Pre-School Practitioner/ Nursery Nurse – Full time position

Do you love working with children and helping them to develop? Do you have good communication skills that need to be put to excellent use?
Into Play has been established for nearly 30 years and enjoys an outstanding reputation. We are looking forquality qualified individuals to join ourteam at our Quays site on Llanthony Road in Gloucester.
Applicants will require a minimum Level 2, previous experience within the role and a willingness to further their professional development.
This is a full-time, permanent role, and consists of 41 ¼ hours per week on a Rota basis for 52 weeks of the year (nursery closes for 1 week at Christmas plus all Bank Holidays)
Role Purpose/ Key Objectives
- To support a team in a child-centered environment which is FUN.
- Ensure the children are cared for in a safe, educationally stimulating way helping them reach their full potential.
- To build excellent relationships with parents/carers and be able to record progress and feedback regularly.
- ImplementInto play’s policies and procedures with an emphasis on safeguarding as set down by the local Safeguarding Board.
- Deliver and uphold Into play’s Vision & Core Values on an ongoing basis.
- Provide support to the Nursery Manager, Room Leaders& the team.
- Work towards acquiring outstanding at our next inspection.
- To develop links with other childcare settings and especially our other sites.
Essential skills, experience and qualifications
- Minimum of Level 2 Childcare Qualification (or other equivalent appropriate qualification)
- Knowledge of the EYFS and how to plan and deliver this in a creative and effective way.
- Knowledgeof Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Role model to staff and children
- Knowledge and understanding of Equal Opportunities Experience/Knowledge of OFSTED inspections.
