*Foster Carers*

We are recruiting Foster Carers in and around the Gloucestershire area to make a positive and lasting difference to children and young people in care.

Fostering is helping a child by looking after them in your own home, at a time when their own family is not able to do so. Children need fostering for all sorts of reasons and for different lengths of time.

We are looking for more people to become foster carers for children of all ages. You will be making a big difference to the life of a local child by offering them a safe and nurturing home at a difficult time in their lives.

You’ll be given comprehensive training and will be joining a friendly and supportive fostering community that meets regularly, giving you a local support network. You will also have support from a range of professionals.

We’d love to hear from you if:
• You are over 21,
• You have a spare room in your home,
• You have experience caring for your own or other people’s children
• You have the time to care for a child and can give them stability and security,

There is no such thing as a typical foster carer. All kinds of children come into care and we need a diverse group of foster carers to look after them. Foster carers can be single, cohabiting, married, divorced as well as same sex couples. It doesn’t matter if you rent or own your home and if you are employed or unemployed.

We can offer:
• Generous and supportive financial allowances per child
• A team of professionals working alongside you, including specialist mental health support.
• Specially tailored training, both before you become a foster carer and throughout
• A dedicated social worker for you who is available whenever you need them
• Out of hours support.
• Fast track assessments for existing foster carers.

Take that first step. Make a difference. Foster!
