Job summary

It is an exciting time to join the Council as it forges ahead with renewed focus, vision and challenges. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a high-performing multi-skilled frontline team delivering a range of diverse services Stroud District Council provides to its customers. We are the first point of contact for the majority of customers and how we deliver the service impacts on the first impression they have of the Council. Our interaction with the customer is multi-channel by phone, face-to-face and online. The Council currently enjoys customer satisfaction levels higher than the national average and aims to continue providing quality service to our customers.

Hours: Full-time 37 Hours, Mon- Thurs 0845-1700, Fri 0845-1630

The Role

We would like you to share in our success of delivering excellent customer service to all our customers.  You would be part of a friendly, enthusiastic and outcome driven team. You will be encouraged to look at services from the customer’s point of view and suggest ways to improve the service we provide. You will share our goal of exceeding customer expectations regularly.

This role is ideally suited to your existing customer-based skills and will give you the chance to develop those skills further, along with additional opportunities, to increase your knowledge base in other fields in a multi-skilled role.  The position offers variety and challenges.
