R-Tech Welding Equipment Ltd is one of the largest on-line suppliers of welding equipment and consumables in the UK. We supply an extremely varied range of customers, from private individuals through to global blue-chip brands. The Role

We are looking for a Customer Support and Sales Advisor to join our existing team. You will be the first point of contact for prospective & existing customers, on the phone, via e mail and web-based services. You will advise prospective customers on our full range of products & any relevant technical aspects. You will process quotes and orders placed via our website or over the phone as well as sourcing and ordering new products from suppliers. Ours is a fast paced and dynamic environment, requiring commitment, teamwork and strong work ethics.

About You

Educated to a minimum of English and Maths GCSE C grade or equivalent, you’ll have a keen eye for getting the details right. You will have some experience of working in a customer services role and will be a natural relationship builder, capable of engaging in phone conversations with people from all walks of life. You should have a genuine manner, capable of putting people at ease and building trust.

You must be able to communicate effectively on the phone and web with clarity & enthusiasm.

Accuracy, including the use of correct grammar is essential in maintaining our high business standards.

We spend a lot of our time talking with customers about the technical aspects of welding, so being comfortable with tech stuff is essential. Full training will be given, however interest in mechanical or electrical engineering will really stand you in good stead.

We work very much as a team at R-Tech, so you will need to be a true team player with a “can-do” attitude, willing to “muck in” and support the team to get the job done. You’ll revel in taking ownership of any given situation in order to see the best possible outcome for both R-Tech & the customer.

Being a web-based business, IT skills and knowledge are certainly desirable.

Successful applicants will be required to take a video-based interview process as the second stage of selection. If successful, those applicants will be called in for a face to face (socially distant) interview.
