CAD Engineer


Control Solutions & Pipework Services Ltd are looking for an organised, reliable, and flexible individual, with a keen eye to detail to be our CAD lead and offer project support for a busy engineering operation.

Experience of Engineering and workshop fabrication essential.

Food industry and Stainless Steel fabrication experience would be an advantage.

We use Autocad software and the candidate will be responsible for generating both 3D and 2D drawings for customer approval and workshop fabrication.

Main duties will include:

  • 3D Modelling of systems for customer approval prior to workshop fabrication.
  • 2D detail drawings and cutting lists for workshop use during manufacture.
  • Generating weld maps and including data from workshop and site documentation.
  • Site surveys and investigations to prepare P&ID drawings and layouts for quotations.
  • Assist with technical support on projects.
  • Prepare 3D views to support site Supervisors and Engineers during installations.
  • Assist projects with component selection and sizing working with existing component suppliers.

Candidate attributes:
Computer literate / Good telephone manner / Great people and communication skills.
Strong admin skills and able to work under pressure.
At least 3 years experience in a similar role.
Looking to continually develop their CAD skills and become a lead role in the company going forward.

Salary: negotiable depending on experience

Hours Per Week: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm + Overtime to meet the needs of the business
