Casual Mini Bus Driver

Duties include:

• Drive the school minibus for sports fixtures and educational visits/accompanied by staff members
• Ensure all pupils are transported safely and in accordance with school safeguarding procedures
• Conduct pre journey vehicle safety checks and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Abide by the law and ensure that safety of passengers is paramount

Essential Skills:

• Licensed to drive a minibus by holding a clean driving licence A full D1 (or D) PCV entitlement to drive minibuses for hire and reward (see further guidance) or willing to seek licence requirement
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience, reliability, and the ability to support students calmly and positively
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures (training will be provided)
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines for Minibus Driver

Desirable:

• Experience working in a school or education setting
• First aid training

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• MIDAS testing every 4 years
• A full medical
