Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service is looking for professional, highly motivated individuals with a drive for excellence. Individuals that are looking to broaden their knowledge and skills and join our Talent Pool for the role of Area Manager.

Applications are welcomed from current Area Managers and competent Group Managers both internal and external to join our Area Manager Talent Pool.

The requirements of the role will mean that you will be expected to demonstrate commitment to the principles and the core values of our service and encourage all those that you manage and work alongside to do the same.

The successful candidate will be offered the current available Area Manager position. Other candidates who have been successful will be held in a Promotion Talent Pool and will be able to apply for the next available Area Manager position.

When another Area Manager position becomes available expressions of interest will be asked from candidates within the talent pool and a role related professional discussion will be conducted. Decisions will be made based on the skills requirement of the job and the professional discussion outcome.
The role will be subject to the NJC Scheme of Conditions of Service Sixth Edition 2004 (updated 2009).

Position is subject to an Enhanced & Barred Disclosure check. 

Assessment centre and interviews - Week commencing 14th December 2020.
