Grade SC6
Salary £26,865 - £28,725

Do you want to work in a high-paced finance environment, supporting the Gloucestershire Constabulary to stay on budget and ensuring it is targeting its money towards delivering key crime prevention targets? You’ll be working at the heart of the Constabulary, working with police officers on a daily basis to support all that the Constabulary needs to achieve to deliver the Police and Crime Plan. You will be joining a finance team which is consciously rewriting what good looks like, taking risks and putting ourselves on the line to support continuous improvement and development.  We will also be looking to open up training opportunities to qualify as a CPFA accountant – the specialist chartered accountancy qualification which is the gateway to working in the largest sector in accounting, the public sector, encompassing local government, the NHS and emergency services.

Our Finance Officers play a vital role in keeping the data we hold up to date, making sure it’s accurate, meaningful and comprehensive. In addition, the Finance Officers’ analysis and interpretation of the data held supports the budget holders and wider Constabulary stakeholders to make good financial decisions. You will be the kind of person who has high standards for their own work and consciously manages the quality of their own output, always curious in your approach, tenacious in uncovering answers and creative in your ability to solve problems.
