Service & Maintenance Engineer

Rare Opportunity to join a Market Leading Company.

BituChem are one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of Road Surface Treatments and due to our continuous growth, we are looking to expand our Team.

BituChem Building Products are looking to recruit a full time Service and Maintenance Engineer to join our existing Maintenance Team. The successful applicants’ main task will be maintaining, servicing, and repairing our fleet of Mobile Storage Tanks (MST’s).  Our tanks are located across the UK, so flexibility to start early, finish late and occasionally stay away from home is essential. When you are not busy ensuring that our MST’s are top notch you can expect to be assisting with Maintaining the Plant & Equipment at our manufacturing facility in Cinderford.

This role would suit someone who is happy working as a part of a team, but who can also work on their own with little or no direct supervision. The ability to make sound decisions is key.

Essential Criteria:

A can-do attitude and problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience of working on and maintaining machinery/plant.
Welding & Fabrication.
Flexible approach to work.
Team Player.
Able to work alone.
A good understanding of Health and Safety standards.
Have a full clean UK driving licence.
Able to wear and use safety equipment.
Pass a safety critical medical.

Desirable Criteria:

OFTEC Certification.
Electrical testing and inspection.
IPAF certificate.
Forklift truck licence (Counterbalance).
Use of handheld technology.

Training will be provided for the right candidate where necessary.

Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience.
