Here at SeamsRite Alterations and Repairs you will normally find me waist deep in bridal wear, prom dresses, holiday glad rags plus of course every day items such as trousers, jeans, skirts, tops and curtains to name but a few of the items I'm used to working on, but not in recent weeks. Since the week before the official lockdown when I decided for the safety of everyone concerned I'd suspend seeing clients, I've been putting my time and skills to good use making items on a voluntary basis for the NHS. I thoroughly enjoy being able to contribute in some small way towards helping during this time of crisis. I've even been interviewed twice by BBC Radio Gloucestershire about this voluntary work I've been doing.

 

Throughout I've remained open for business albeit in a slightly modified way to pre-coronavirus times. I still take on work that does not require actual fittings and so far this has been working very well. I hope like so many other people in my position who rely on working in close contact with clients that before too long the time will come when it is safe for normal (even if slightly modified) practice to resume again.

 

In the meantime I very much look forward to seeing all my lovely existing clients also lots of new ones in the not too distant future.

I work on an appointment system and take calls from 9.30am-6pm Mondays to Fridays and 9.30am-1pm on Saturdays.
