Carbon Reduction Programme Officer


About The Role

Grade G £32,234 - £35,745 pro rata pa
37 hours per week

Are you passionate about the environment and climate change and want to work in a role where you will make a difference?

Tewkesbury Borough Council has declared a climate emergency and approved an action plan to help deliver its ambition of being carbon neutral by 2030. We are at the start of our journey and are looking for an ambitious individual to take the Council forward and achieve this goal.

Working within our asset management team, you will need ability and commitment to shape our strategy and work with services to deliver organisational change and targeted actions which will ensure delivery of this Council priority.

In addition, this role will work across the council and with our partners to understand Borough wide emissions and form the Council’s approach to supporting our community in tackling the climate emergency. 

To be successful in the role, you’ll have good knowledge of environmental matters and issues, specifically relating to energy, sustainability and Climate Change in a local government context

Closing Date: Monday, 1 November 2021

Proposed Interview Date: Thursday, 18 and Friday, 19 November 2021
