House Manager

Salary:  Circa £19,500 pa depending on experience
Working: 3 days – week 1
5 days – week 2
10.00am - 6.30pm with a 30-minute lunch break

We are looking for a non-residential House Manager to join our team and play a vital role in continuing to deliver our high-quality service and develop our staff.

About us
Abbeyfield Gloucestershire is a leading provider of high-quality independent homes for active older people and looks after 3 homes in Cheltenham and Cirencester. We are proud of the care and support we provide for older people in our houses, as residents live in a `family’ environment, where we encourage them to pursue hobbies and interests.   Unlike residential accommodation we do not provide personal care.

About the role
Reporting to the House Chairman at our Prestbury House, you will be responsible for the day to day management of the house including preparing meals for the 8 residents, managing materials and stock for the efficient running of the house.  You will ensure that appropriate staff cover is maintained, while monitoring closely the health and welfare of our residents.

About you
Applicants must be highly motivated, professional in approach and appearance with excellent leadership and communications skills.  We are looking for an individual with a genuine warm and friendly nature, who can multi task, where necessary and remain enthusiastic in their approach.  You must be able to pay attention to the details and be capable of working on your own initiative.

It is essential that you are a competent cook in preparing nutritious meals twice a day but above all, you care as much as we do, and you are passionate about making all the difference for older people.  Current food hygiene and first aid certificates would be desirable.  We provide a comprehensive induction programme, as well as on-going training and development.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking, highly successful organisation.  If you believe you have the skills, experience and passion to assist us in achieving our mission, we would like to hear from you.

Confirmation of all appointments is subject to proof of eligibility to work in the UK, DBS clearance and satisfactory references.

Please email your CV by clicking on Apply Now or call Nikki Browning on the number on the right of this advert for more information.

Closing date for applications: Friday 7th June 2019
