Patient Advisor

Cheltenham

Cleevelands Medical Centre is a high-performing general practice and has an exciting opportunity for a Patient Advisor to join our dynamic team. This post is a permanent position and will be well suited to someone who is looking to work in the general practice environment and to gain hands-on experience in a thriving and supportive workplace.

The successful candidate will become an integral member of our administration team. Our administration team works very closely with our clinical teams to provide the highest standard of care and treatment to a patient list size of over 11,400 patients in the Bishops Cleeve and north Cheltenham area.

This opportunity would be particularly suited to someone who has experience of communicating with the public by telephone. A majority of your work will involve communicating with our patients by telephone and using information technology. You will also be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception and administrative duties and providing general support to our multidisciplinary team. Other duties will include greeting and directing patients, managing appointments, dealing with prescription enquiries and assisting patients as required.

Although previous experience of working in the NHS would be advantageous, we are prepared to develop the right person. As a relatively small team, we are looking for someone who has lots of enthusiasm, a cheery disposition and is highly motivated. It is essential that you are a strong team player. You will need to have a good telephone manner and to be confident using a computer to apply for this position.
