Human Resources Administrator - Full time 37.5 hours per week £21,500 - £25,000 D.O.E

A fantastic opportunity has been created to work alongside the Head of HR and the HR Manager within this corporate business.  This is a rare opportunity as we are not looking for someone who has tons of HR experience, as we are wanting to recruit someone who really sees their career lying in HR and wants to learn . 


The role will be as an HR Administrator as this is really where you will learn the ropes of the business and understand what good HR practice is -as you will be learning from 2 fantastic Managers. You will take on lots of administration tasks to help the department and enable the Head of HR and HR Manager to get on with more strategic roles within the department. 

Within this role you will learn all about HR and will cover all administration duties covering the full employee life cycle of services right from recruitment to exit interviews and everything in between! 

The company employs over 300 staff worldwide so when we say that the successful candidate will know they want a career, we really do mean that, as it is envisaged that in time the role will develop into an HR Advisor and eventually an HR Business Partner.   This career path though is not one that will be rushed, you will learn as you undertake the duties associated with the HR Administrators role.  It is also envisaged that the successful candidate will proceed to further their qualifications and study for their CIPD in time.


It's all about attitude for this role, we want the individual to learn and embrace the role, it is heavily biased on administration tasks so you need to love administration and not be phased by one minute having a project which may be mundane but still needs to be done such as electronic filing to the next minute assisting with a recruitment campaign etc.

 

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Provide full administration support to the HR team (currently a team of 3)
  • Update and maintain information on the inhouse HR system ensuring information is kept up to date
  • HR related filing and data management
  • Monitoring and administration of holiday and absence records
  • Maintaining organisation charts
  • Support with payroll administration
  •  Consistently delivering a professional HR and Payroll administration service

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 A-levels / Degree or Strong Previous Commercial administration experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage your own workload and priorities to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills, both in person, by phone / email and messaging
  • Ability to follow and work within established and defined processes and procedures
  • Ability to produce work of a high standard with a high level of attention to detail (in HR there is no room for error!)
  • Demonstrate a hunger and keenness to learn
  • Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure

Due to the nature of this role you will be dealing with Senior Personnel within this role and this is why it is imperative that is seen as a career role as it is not simply a job, you will have daily contact with the C.E,O and Senior Managers within this corporate business which is why you will need to have an intelligent mind as you are working with extremely intelligent people as they are the leaders in their field ! . 

Flexible working is available, however, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will work from this Clients Gloucestershire Head Office for a minimum of 2 days a week - Candidates will need to have their own mode of transport due to this Clients location.
