Position Description

 

Pro are currently looking for a HR Advisor to join their global HR team. The job holder will support, design and complete the administration and implementation of the Human Resources policies, procedures, and processes.

 

Experienced in working across the following disciplines: HRIS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organisational development and resourcing would be desirable.

 

Consideration will be given to applicants wishing part time only alongside those seeking a full-time role. The position is a hybrid home working one with the requirement for occasional travel each month to our other offices throughout the UK, in particular our Gloucester office.

 

Responsibilities include:
•To be a central point of contact for line managers and staff in managing and supporting effective employee relations
•Coaching line managers to deal with people/performance/ER issues and best practice where necessary
•Support the development and implementation of HR policies, informing employees of their rights and entitlements and keeping them up to date on any changes that are made
•Managing staff relationships, responding to any queries or problems that they have and managing their expectations
•Supporting the HR Manager with various capability investigations, including grievance and disciplinary
•To support HR projects e.g. TUPE transfers, due diligence requests, cost reduction, annual salary reviews, performance appraisal
•Support the salary review and profit share/bonus process for targeted lines of business/territories as required
•Monitoring absence and dealing proactively with any issues which arise
•Embed effective induction processes and to monitor effectiveness
•Gather and analyse feedback from employee exit interviews
•Prepare HR contracts, standard letters and documentation to ensure consistency with internal policies, culture and external legislation
•Review and update job descriptions
•Manage the process for employee right to work and facilitate international assignments, including work-permits, tax issues and visas.
•Analyse employee data reporting on trends
•Support the Recruitment team, where necessary
•Support the L&D Manager in delivering courses, developing and distributing materials, progressing development plans and dealing with performance related issues as required
•Contribute to internal agendas such as Engagement and Communication

 

Experience and Competencies ­­


•Ideally CIPD qualification (Level 5) or equivalent with a focus on employment law
•International HR experience in Switzerland, Germany and the USA desirable but not essential
•Fluency in German both written and spoken would be really useful  but is not essential
•Practical experience of working with the business on employee relations issues contributing to putting in place a high-performance culture
•HR Generalist experience
•Excellent and demonstrable written and verbal communication skills
•Results orientated - focus on improving performance, meeting goals and producing results
•Strong influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills to achieve desired outcomes
•Intermediate Microsoft office skills
