Logistics Co-Ordinator

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Logistics Co-ordinator. Reporting to the Group Management Accountant, this role will focus on arranging shipments of group products to our worldwide customers, but will occasionally also include administrative tasks connected to the order fulfulment process, to help facilitate the smooth running of our global businesses. The Logistics Co-ordinator will professionally demonstrate the Auger Torque values of being nimble, open and global in all interactions with customers, staff and visitors.

This is a part-time (circa 20 hours per week) role based in our Hazleton offices, near Cheltenham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partnering with the Production and Finance teams in multiple tasks, including:

o Ensuring that domestic, European and worldwide freight bookings for both Kinshofer UK and Auger Torque (Europe) Limited are completed in an accurate and timely manner, with all necessary supporting documentation in place
o Tracking orders to ensure timely deliveries.   Maintaining good communication channels with shipping agents to ensure that consignments reach their destination smoothly, on time, and that any queries are resolved promptly
o Communicating with customers regarding order readiness, providing all information necessary to ensure release of goods, facilitating timely invoicing.  Provide information to customers about the status of their orders.
o Assisting with the order fulfilment process/office administation where necessary; ensuring that any order queries are correctly referred to the appropriate personnel to ensure speedy resolution and customer satisfaction

• Embracing change - enabling business growth by utilising new systems and improving processes

• All employees are responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs

• To ensure good communication and decision making connecting with the appropriate members of staff to ensure good team working

• To have an active role in the companies continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for future growth within the company

Key Attributes:

Experience in manufacturing or warehousing business with international shipping is desirable

Great communication skills, and a proactive work ethic

A strong degree of accuracy is essential, with an eye for detail

Ability to work effectively in a varied evolving role in a fast-paced environment with ability to juggle multiple priorities

A self-starter with a confident, organised and methodical approach

Microsoft Office experience is needed. Previous experience in Sage 200 or similar ERP systems would be ideal

Due to our attractive location in the Cotswolds, which is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Cirencester, Gloucester and Oxford, own transport is essential.
