Robotics and Motion Control Engineer - UK-01-2019-robomotcon

Tewkesbury

As a result of continuing expansion, we are recruiting a robotics and motion control development engineer to join our team and help us develop the next generation of our robot control system. Trio has developed a complete industrial robotics solution with kinematic and dynamics algorithms, path and trajectory planning, and other advanced mathematical solutions. We design and test our own robotics scripting language, and develop new commands and structures.

The role involves algorithm development, engineering research, design and development of our robotic solutions, and direct contact with customers and real applications.


Applicants Requirements:
Applicants must have a good degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mathematics or strongly related discipline.

Experience with the following will be advantageous:

  • Good understanding of kinematics and dynamics for industrial robots.
  • Algorithm development.
  • High level programming languages; for example, C, Python, MATLAB / Simulink, Rapid.
  • Knowledge of interfacing automation hardware with electrical systems and the basic principles of machine control.
  • Experience with different industrial robots and systems.
  •  PLC programming, preferably using the standard IEC61131-3 environment.
  • Desirable: Electrical interfacing between a controller and sensors/actuators in an automation system.
