IT Managed Services Salesperson

Wavetree  provides a broad range of services to a range of vertical and sized clients. A continued focus moving forward will be a focus on managed services and cloud  in order to position Wavetree as the go to name for managed services and cloud solutions across Gloucestershire and beyond. The IT Managed Services Salesperson positionis a new role that will sit at the forefront of Wavetree’s strategic proposition.

The role is accountable for proactively driving new customer managed services sales revenues. Central to the role will be the ability for the chosen salesperson  to deliver the benefits that Wavetree services, skillsets and products brings to the potential customers. An understanding of technology is favourable but not essential as an understanding of the customer business services requirements is more important than detailing and how Wavetree can benefit the customer through working together.

The salesperson will manage their own sales pipeline working with our lead generation team by leveraging  knowledge to work directly with prospects and across a broader internal community of technical consultants and other teams. The common objective across these teams is to drive meaningful potential client interaction and produce thoughtful solutions that build rapport and position Wavetree as the client’s preferred technology partner. The right candidate will be able to develop new initiatives and go-to-market strategies to further develop the sales pipeline and ultimately win more business.

Salespeople at Wavetree possess strong communication skills and prioritise work in such a way as to effectively produce outcomes in alignment with overall business objectives. A passion for IT Managed Services is a must as is solving client pains and overcoming challenges.

You will need to demonstrate the following:

  • A good understanding of business and the challenges the prospects are facing both small and mid-size businesses.
  • Understanding of how the various technologies and services will benefit potential customers
  • Overview knowledge of IT services and technology.
  • Demonstrate the ability to sell the value of managed services.
  • Knowledge and understanding of how to deliver consultative services selling.
  • Self-driven to ensure success of own sales pipeline.
  • Developing specific sales initiatives and specific sales campaigns.
  • Exploit existing products to propose new services, solutions, and product bundling.
  • Ability to inform and educate the technical services team on the new customer and effective handover from sales to go live with services.
  • Effective communicator with ability to articulate Wavetree’s value to prospective decision makers
  • Ability and drive to produce results without continuous managerial oversight
  • Ownership and delivery of new sales initiatives
  • Ability to work with marketing team and technical team to drive new campaigns
