Filton & WISE Campus or Stroud Campus
Salary Range: Up to £6,611.40 - £14,104.31 per annum (Based on Full-Time Equivalent salary of £20,358.00 per annum)  

Term Time Only Contracts will occur a salary adjustment if the start date is after 1st September

Contract Type: Part-Time, Fixed-Term until 31st August 2022, & Term-Time Only (36 weeks)

Hours: 15 – 32 hours per week

SGS College have an exciting opportunity for Learning Support Workers at our Filton & WISE campuses or Stroud Campus.

We wish to appoint enthusiastic, supportive and skilled individuals, particularly in English and maths, to join our dynamic team. If you have experience of supporting people with barriers to learning, who may be difficult to engage, we want to hear from you. We are looking for motivated, flexible and patient individuals, to work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure learner retention, achievement and success.  

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

To support students in achieving their goals and qualifications in an agreed range of settings & adapt/modify some curriculum materials as necessary
To work collaboratively with teaching staff and others to support learner progress and achievement through 1:1 or group support in an agreed range of settings
To supervise the students during the times when they are not directly supervised by lecturing staff & assist the students with any personal care needs as appropriate

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

Good standard of general education including GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above (or equivalent).
Experience of working with young people and/or adults with a range of barriers to learning
High Level of commitment to improving people’s lives through learning
