Responsible to: Maintenance and Voids Manager
Responsible for: Trade Operatives

Job summary

Following the successful internalisation of our Heating Service, we have decided to also internalise the Repairs and Maintenance service.

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to help shape the delivery of the new service.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within the sector, and be aware of the challenges, and rewards it can present. You must be able to think creatively to overcome problems, and also have experience of managing trade operatives delivering a frontline service.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing and monitoring direct trades, sub-contractors and agency staff
Surveying and scheduling of Void works
Checking the quality of Repairs & Maintenance works
Checking and approving Void works
Ensuring all works are being completed within set deadlines
Pre and post inspecting works, including undertaking pre-termination inspections
Ensuring Health and Safety procedures are being adhered to on site
Monitoring budgets
Preparing progress reports for the Management team
Checking works for any snagging to be completed

This is not a 9-5 role and requires an individual who is flexible, and committed to delivering outcomes and will undoubtedly have to go beyond the JD.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential, and you’ll need to demonstrate a real passion to provide excellent customer service.
