Centre Manager - Permanent Part Time


Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

Responsible for: Reception and centre bookings, general duties and responsibilities of the Centre.

Work Location: Fred Bulmer Centre, Wall St, Hereford, HR4 9HP

Working Hours: 15 a week, working 3 hours a day on site (flexible starting times, hours must be spread over 5 days)

Duration: Permanent

Role Summary:

To be responsible for the smooth running of the centre, providing a warm and professional welcome to all tenants and visitors.

To manage the team, health and safety, and tenancy relationships in accordance with UK business and legal best practice.

As the leader of a small team of four, proactively manage a variety of tasks on a day-to-day basis including overseeing the Centre general operations, facilities management, finance, staff management, visitor engagement and supervision of reception.


Maximising the use of the Fred Bulmer Centre in line with the objectives of the charity.

Overall management of all administrative systems, record keeping and governance processes to aid the effective running of the Fred Bulmer Centre.

Managing and monitoring all aspects of health and safety throughout the Fred Bulmer Centre and outside spaces as required by regulation or good practice.

Work in partnership with E F Bulmer Trust accountant to ensure that financial records are kept up to date and that Quick Books software is up to date to aid month end and end of year reporting.

Manage and motivate the team of receptionists/cleaners to ensure that they can conduct their tasks effectively and professionally creating a supportive and collaborative approach to problem solving.

Promote a welcoming and ‘can do’ positive working culture to help attract and retain new tenants to the Centre.
