Executive Assistant / Office Manager (12m FTC)

Twigworth, Gloucestershire (option for home working during Covid)

Essential Criteria: Experience of working as a senior PA / EA

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

The Aurora Group is an innovative provider of education and care for children, young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities. 

We’re currently looking for an experienced Executive Assistant (12m FTC maternity cover) based out of Twigworth, Gloucestershire (option to work from home during Covid) where our Central Office provides support, leadership and governance to our multiple sites across the UK. 

The Role: 

Your role will be to support our CEO and our People Director with their diary management, board reports and projects; as well as managing the efficient running of our Group Central Office. 

Although there are currently less hotels and meeting rooms to be booked; there are plenty of virtual meeting, projects, employee communications and cycle of reports to be arranged, completed and delivered.

In addition to ensuring our Central Office remains Covid safe / compliant; you’ll ensure our central office is suitably supplied and our external contractors (such as cleaners) are appropriately managed.

Whilst there are currently less faces to see; you will still be the face of our company through the management our main central phone line; dealing with enquiries where possible and redirecting as appropriate. 

If normal working practices resume during this period then you’ll also be expected to manage our reception, ensuring a friendly, professional service for all guests including escorting visitors between our various offices on site. 


Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate: 

  • Experience of working as a senior PA / EA
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a central office
  • High level of computer literacy – Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Powerpoint
  • The ability to deal with multiple tasks.
  • High levels of interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication and customer service focus. 
  • Whilst not essential; candidates with experience of working in a dispersed organisation (multi-site) or education/social care settings would be of particular interest
