Aluminium Stores Team Leader
Gloucester
Position Summary
Reporting to the Procurement Manager the role is detailed in the job description below. He/She will lead a small team who will ensure all required materials are available to production in a timely manner in line with the production schedule.
Job Description
- Supervision and leadership of a small team and challenging the team to significantly up their game.
- Monitoring stock levels manually each day, understanding what needs re-ordering, and raising requisitions into purchasing.
- Re-organising stores, yard, and factory stock locations including labelling up part locations, and maintaining a neat and tidy stores and yard.
- Checking deliveries and separating job specific orders from stock orders and presenting to production in a timely manner to the production schedule.
- Topping up production bench stocks so that production staff do not need to enter stores.
- Notifying purchasing & sales of short supplier deliveries and keeping initial paper records accordingly in a structured and accessible manner.
- Collection, disposal and breaking down of production and general site waste.
- Any other duties as defined by directors and managers.
Personal Specification
- IT literate with direct experience of booking in and out on a system (future).
- Experience and understanding of Perpetual Stock Audits and how these work within a MRP system (future).
- A strong level of English, both written and verbal, neat legible handwriting, with excellent numeracy is essential.
- Physically fit as lifting is involved, and willing to work outside in all weathers.
- FLT experience, and manual handling training desirable, but not essential.
- Previous stores supervisory / window industry experience preferred, but not essential.
- A dynamic driven individual with a can do/ must do work ethic.
This is an hourly paid position.
