Start Date: 6th January 2020

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Computing Hub Secondary Lead at Pate’s Grammar School.

The National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) is a collaboration between STEM Learning, the British Computing Society and Raspberry Pi.  The NCCE was created to deliver the government’s commitment to improving computing education at all levels.  There will be up to 40 regional school-led Computing Hubs across the country which will support this work.  Pate’s Grammar School has been designated to lead the Computing Hub for Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Swindon, Bristol, Bath and North Somerset.  Pate’s Grammar School is working in partnership with Adfecto, the professional development arm of Gloucestershire Association of Secondary Headteachers, to deliver the requirements of the Computing Hub.  Adfecto already leads the Science Learning Partnership for the region and has close links to the STEM Ambassadors Hub.  The Computing Hub will be able to use the significant links which Adfecto already has with schools and other networks across the region.
