Fundraising Volunteer - Cheltenham Playhouse

About You:

Are you an enthusiastic team player who is looking to make a difference to the future of Cheltenham Playhouse?
Do you have good communication skills with the ability to plan events, attend meetings, approach companies and identify sources of funding?
Do you have existing contacts in the business and charity communities in Gloucestershire?
How about previous experience raising funds for charity, be it through events or grant applications?
Are you interested in theatre and performance and looking to help our expanding community hub?
Would you like to join the team of dedicated volunteers that run Cheltenham Playhouse?

About Us:
Cheltenham Playhouse is run by a registered charity known as The Playhouse, Cheltenham (registered charity 1088889). There is a Board of Trustees, all volunteers, elected from the theatre membership who work alongside our theatre manager to form the management team. There is an extensive team of volunteers who help to run the theatre on a day to day basis.
We are looking to strengthen our team with one or more volunteer fundraisers to start raising funds towards a big expansion project, for which we now have planning permission. Project Playhouse will see the theatre undergo a multi-million-pound redevelopment, to transform it into a cutting-edge hub for performing arts communities.

More about the role:
You would be working with the trustees, theatre manager and volunteers to run events, approach businesses and look for opportunities to help raise funds for the initial stages of Project Playhouse.
You would be eligible for reasonable out-of-pocket expenses accrued in your role.
You would be able to commit sufficient time to make a success of the role.
Your hours would be flexible and would fit in with the requirements of the fundraising and Cheltenham Playhouse.
You might find that you were working mainly from home or at the theatre
