Pharmacy Dispenser: ACDA Opportunity (Accuracy Checking for Dispensing Assistant)


The company has a very rare and exciting opportunity for a pharmacy dispenser to join the Pharmacy, in the view of becoming a trained ACDA (Accuracy Checking for Dispensing Assistant). The course is fully funded by the company and this allows the applicant to carry out final checks of dispensed items clinically approved by a pharmacist.

The post is within a friendly busy health-centre based Pharmacy.

The main responsibility of this post is to carry out the checks of clinically approved dispensed medication.

The role would also entail delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, stock control and collection of prescriptions.

Engaging with GPs and practice teams to drive services and items as well as dealing with queries.

Delivering an efficient dispensing service to aid the local community

Operating a Pharmacy robot

There will be involvement in various computer aided work, general admin paperwork and processing electronic prescriptions.

**Pharmacy experience is required**

Candidates should have minimum NVQ Level 2 Dispensing qualifications.

You will be expected to maintain a current knowledge and high standard with Continual Professional Development (CPD)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
