Year 5 Primary Teacher Needed - 4 Days a Week | 3-Month Role in Gloucester Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire Start Date: September 2025 Working Days: Monday to Friday (Wednesday off) ? Contract Length: 3 Months Pay: £170-£260 per day (based on experience)
Are you an experienced Primary Teacher or confident ECT looking for a fulfilling, short-term role this autumn?
Class People is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Gloucester to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Class Teacher for a 4-day-a-week placement starting September 2025 , running for 3 months .
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to maintain a strong classroom presence with the benefit of a slightly reduced timetable.
About the Role:
Teach a Year 5 class of engaged and curious learners
Plan, deliver, and assess lessons aligned with the KS2 National Curriculum
Work alongside supportive parallel class teachers and school leadership
Create a positive, structured learning environment with high expectations
Limited responsibilities on Fridays - perfect for work-life balance or PPA catch-up
? Requirements:
UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Recent experience in Key Stage 2 , ideally Year 5
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Commitment to the full 3-month term
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
