Purchasing Administrator

Stonehouse, Gloucestershire

Tricel (Gloucester) manufactures a number of products for the U.K market & this element of the Tricel group is a highly-experienced manufacturer of composite products and has developed a unique range that is used worldwide. These products are certified by government bodies and utility companies alike.

We excel in the innovation of composites design, supplying leading manufacturers in the construction, automotive, rail, defense, aeronautical, civil and road safety sectors. Furthermore, we are also a leading provider of mains drainage solutions, supplying septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pump stations throughout the UK.

The Role

The Purchasing Administrator provides a key role within the Supply Chain function and is responsible for the procurement of products, in order to meet the Company’s requirements speaking to both internal and external suppliers. The role reports directly in to the Operations Manager and the main purpose of the role is to provide an administrative function to the team, including; placing orders and obtaining information from the Company’s bespoke system to ensure there is a continuous supply of components.

Responsibilities

  • Producing stock requirement reports as required;
  • Raising purchase orders as required;
  • Monitoring stock usage to maintain adequate stock levels;
  • Data input in to the inventory system;
  • Assisting with the monthly stock take;
  • Chasing any overdue orders in a timely manner;
  • Liaising with external suppliers;
  • Liaising with the team to prevent issues from arising;
  • General administrative duties as assigned by the Management team.
  • Any other duties as assigned for the needs of the business.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of working with stock control systems is desirable;
  • Experience of Microsoft Excel;
  • Ability to manage own time effectively;
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to meet business needs;
  • Experience of working to KPI’s & objectives.
