Project Support Officer

Severn Wye is looking for a friendly, passionate individual to work with Gloucestershire, South Gloucestershire and Herefordshire households and communities on our Energy Aware Communities Project. Increasing access to Energy support for communities facing barriers.

You will work as a Project Support Officer for our Energy Aware Communities project, part of the Warm and Well team at Severn Wye. On aspect of this role represents a partnership between Severn Wye, Barnardos, GARAS and Inclusion Gloucestershire. You will be remotely working across Gloucestershire, organising the projects home visits, triaging clients, support, reporting, monitoring, and delivering events for both service users and partners. The role will be home-based initially, with the option of working from our Highnam Offices as and when appropriate.

The role is focussed on supporting and reducing barriers for vulnerable households to help them access energy information and lift them out of fuel poverty. As Project Support Officer you will support and coordinate our community advocates, liase with partners, aiding community Groups and energy Consumers to be more informed, you’ll also listen to what people need and help us develop new resources both in print and video. You will play a key part in the role of supporting Gloucestershire residents with how to secure a better energy deal, managing and reducing debt, accessing funding and engaging with smart technology.

This will ensure that vulnerable citizens can make informed decisions with how to use and manage energy, ultimately putting money back in their pockets and improving their health and wellbeing. This is a hugely rewarding role, working to help people overwhelmed by the world of energy find clarity. You will be a positive, optimistic first contact for people and partners.

Your position would be key to the smooth running of the project and successful partner relations.
