About the role

  • In the past five years, we have seen an amazing 30% expansion across our businesses; with continued projected growth, we are now looking for an experienced Technical Sales Executive to join our busy and successful Sales team working within our online re-seller brand, Ceiling Tiles UK & Workplace Interior Shop.
  • This role will be key in supporting the team in providing excellent technical knowledge withing the Ceiling & Building materials industry and advice to prospective customers.
  • The position is looking for an experienced sales or account manager working within the building materials or construction industry.
  • Systems & Process Training will be provided on the job.

Key duties to include:

  • Call handling & email management from incoming customer enquiries
  • Providing new cost quotations and the excellent communication with customer including making amendments, providing new cost quotations, and maintaining excellent communication with the customer.
  • Provide expert, honest & detailed technical knowledge to customer enquiries.
  • Producing material calculations, take-offs & quotations from customer drawings & blueprints.
  • As part of a wider team, responsible for providing an excellent end-to-end seamless customer journey from initial quotation to delivery.
  • Responsible for growing new & existing accounts through excellent technical advice, speed, reliability & customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to company standards and guidelines when providing quotations; focus on maintaining margins and customer satisfaction, whilst ensuring the fulfilment within procurement & logistics teams is not suffered.
  • Ensure all product specifications, details and customer information is logged accurately and the internal team are regularly updated with key information.
  • Liaise with the Sales & Marketing teams to support in new product launches and longer-term marketing strategy.
  • Working within a wider team all working towards the same end goal

About the individual

We are looking for a confident and customer service focussed individual with previous sales experience and demonstrable experience and/ or knowledge of the following:

  • Knowledge within the construction industry, preferably in an account managements, sales or client facing roles.
  • Background within Ceilings, Partitioning, Flooring or drylining would be advantageous although not essential.
  • Independent with a proactive approach to working.
  • Logical thinker with an excellent attention to detail.
  • Personable with a great ability to build trusting relationships.
  • Confident with a willingness to question and be open with customers.
  • Good commercial awareness & mental arithmetic
  • Willingness to learn as we Invest in professional development & upskilling sufficiently to ensure we are offering consistent high-quality service.

Salary: £23,200 - £25,000 pa

Hours Per Week: Permanent 40 hours/ week. Full time – Monday to Friday
