Senior Chef de Partie (aspiring Sous Chef) required for Cotswolds country pub The Mount Inn Stanton, Nr. Broadway Worcestershire.


A busy country pub is looking for a Senior Chef de Partie to work with only fresh seasonal produce where most of the food is made here on the premises. We are looking for passionate chefs with a strong work ethic to be a part of a great working team. Although we are extremely busy in the summer season, I am looking to increase our food trade in the winter months expanding on our offer of well presented freshly cooked food. This is a full time position & an opportunity to make a difference.

As a Senior Chef de Partie with good all round experience in all aspects of the kitchen you will work alongside the Head Chef/Proprietor to ensure the smooth running of this fresh food kitchen, this includes cleaning of the kitchen. 

You will run your section to a high standard and offering flexibility by being capable of working on all sections. This will include some customer facing cooking. The ideal Senior Chef de Partie will have longevity in previous positions and have a clear passion for the industry.

Works alongside head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.

  • Leads kitchen team in chef's absence
  • Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Oversees and organises kitchen stock and ingredients
  • Ensures a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
  • Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
  • Manages food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimises waste, plus works with existing systems to improve waste reduction and manage budgetary concerns.
  • Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards.
  • Assists head chef with menu creation

Required experience:

  • Previous Chef de Partie
  • Ability to cook to volume with fresh seasonal ingredients
  • Strong team playera

Please note there is no live-in accommodation.

Salary: £30K depending on experience for a 5 day working week, minimum of 40 hours per week.
