Senior Science Technician

• 11 – 16 Boys Selective Grammar School
• Co-Educational Sixth Form
• 1212 students on Roll
• Grade 4 Point 7 - 10 
£20,092 - £21,322 FTE, (£16,716 - £17,739 full time term time only pro-rata)
• 37 hrs per week
(8.15-4.15), term time only

The Marling School Science Technician Team has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and practical Senior Science Technician to support across all subjects but with a particular interest and flair for Physics. You will be keen to support our students with the delivery of practical equipment, have meticulous attention to detail, a love of learning and experience in Physics or a related subject such as Engineering or Electronics.

In return, the team can offer you a vibrant, supportive and energetic working environment in which students are placed at the heart of everything they do. Thorough induction into our working practice and ongoing training and development, and an opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the Science curriculum. This role will suit someone with a love of all things Science and a desire to make a difference to students learning.

Candidates should enjoy working in the context of a busy team environment, and have:

• A good understanding of Science with a flair for Physics
• Excellent communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail
• A friendly approach and calm manner
• The interest and enthusiasm to play an active part in school life

All applications are subject to the satisfactory completion of a probationary period of 6 months.
